EIDHR Evaluation on the Abolition of Death Penalty projects (2006-2007)
Support to the European Commission to improve the impact of the EIDHR (European Initiative for Democracy and Human Rights) projects supporting civil society activities aiming at the abolition of the death penalty, by strengthening the Commission’s ability to draw on lessons learnt from past and ongoing interventions for future planning, programming and project identification.

EIDHR-Evaluation of 2 projects of support for Election Observation Missions and training for domestic observers organisations (2007)
Evaluation of the last 2 NEEDS (Network of Europeans for Electoral and Democracy support) projects for the EC and recommendations for the future project concerning the training of EU Electoral Observation Mission experts and observers, support and technical assistance to Domestic Observers Organizations (DO) and methodological support for EU EOMs.The assignment included drafting Terms of References for a future call for tender in the same field.
Measures to develop the capacity of the Cyprus VAT service to apply the acquis communautaire (2002-2003)
Within the framework of preparation for the country’s integration into the European Union, legal, administrative and operational capacity building of the VAT service to apply the acquis communautaire; improvement of the collection and control of VAT revenue in compliance with EU standards.
Measures to develop the capacity of the Cyprus Customs and Excise Department to apply the acquis communautaire (2002-2003)
Within the framework of preparation for the country’s integration into the European Union, administrative and operational capacity building of the Department of Customs and Excise. Development of legislation and establishment of robust operational policies, and of systems and procedures to support them.
Formulation of a fishery project and accompanying measures (2010-2011)
Finalisation of the complete formulation of a project aiming to consolidate the existing fisheries management system in: (i) implementing the fisheries policies and management plan already prepared by the Government (deep demersal fisheries); (ii) finalising management plans for other fisheries (octopus); (iii) following up the implementation of management plans.
Modernisation and upgrading of the operational capacity of the Customs and Tax Departments: Technical assistance to the VAT and Inland Revenue Department (2001-2002)
Within the framework of preparation for the country’s integration into the European Union and of legislation harmonisation, review of VAT legislation, and proposal of an overhaul of this legislation and of procedures for proceedings. Design of a web-based approach for VAT administration.
Provision of external expertise on foreign policy subjects - Southern Mediterranean and the Greater Middle East (2009-2013)
Framework service contract for ad hoc, short-term services providing expertise on a range of foreign policy subjects. The framework service contract concerns a number of current and emerging issues falling within the respective areas of responsibility of the Parliament's Committee on Foreign Affairs (AFET), its Subcommittee on Security and Defence (SEDE), and the Committees for Development (DEVE) and International Trade (INTA).
The expertise will be used inter alia for the compilation of data and knowledge, cost-benefit analysis and impact assessments and for outlining and evaluating policies and legislation. It is designed both to strengthen the committees' knowledge and ability to respond to Commission proposals or Council activities and to provide a solid basis for some of the committees' own initiatives.
Mid-term evaluation of the EU-China Social Security Reform Cooperation Project (2009)
The objective of the mid-term evaluation was to check the achievements of the EU-China Social Security Reform Cooperation Project that aimed to support the transition to a sustainable social security system in China guaranteeing accessible, adequate and affordable social security benefits to all Chinese citizens. It consisted of two components:
Component 1: Social Security Policy Development,
Component 2: Social Security Systems and Administration.
