| Support unit and ad hoc technical assistance for the Economic Diversification Support Programme (DIVECO) (2011-2015) |
Support to the Algerian administration in the implementation of a programme aiming to improve the economic performance (competitiveness, job creation, exports, etc.) of the agriculture, agri-food and tourism sectors. The actions focus on building the capacity of the institutions in charge of these sectors' follow-up, and of professional organisations, on the creation and strengthening of technical centres and of a centre of excellence, and on the definition of a tourism marketing strategy. To accomplish the services, provision of a team of sectoral experts forming a Support Unit and of specialised short-term technical assistance. |
| Technical Assistance to the Belize Rural Development Programme (BRDP II) (2011-2016) |
Technical and administrative support to the EDF National Authorising Officer (NAO) and the Ministry of Agriculture (MoA) for the successful implementation of the Belize Rural Development Programme (BRDP II). The BRDP II aims at increasing rural household incomes and food security by contributing to the rural market economy’s expansion. The programme has three main components: 1) Enterprise promotion and employment generation in rural areas, 2) Rehabilitation of economic rural infrastructure, 3) Institutional strengthening and support for the formulation of development policies. The BRDP II is implemented mainly by grant call for proposals, infrastructure tenders and TA for institutional support and management. |
| Technical assistance to the Rural Development Project (2009-2014) |
The project has four main technical components: (i) Policy, reform and institutional development: improvement of land use security, pasture land management, and improvement of the legislative environment for the creation of private companies; (ii) Sustainable land and pasture management, (iii) Establishment of farm advisory services and of an agricultural market information system; and (iv) Rural infrastructure development, and capacity building of raions, jamoats and communities to plan, implement, and maintain the infrastructures. |
