Evaluation of the Poverty Reduction Scheme in Central Asia (2007)
This evaluation aimed to improve the European Commission’s poverty reduction scheme in Central Asia. More specifically, the project aimed to review the aid provided by the EC to Central Asia (Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan) in the form of a poverty reduction scheme within the framework of the TACIS programme. The period under analysis was from 2002 to date. Recommendations for the future programme's design and implementation were made taking into account the compliance with the new Development and Cooperation Instrument.

Technical assistance for the Programme to Improve Rural Household Income (PARFAR) (2006-2008)
The general objective of the project is to contribute to reducing poverty in rural areas, aiming to promote household food security, and to improve the socio-economic situation of poor rural populations through encouraging self-reliance activities.
The programme has four main components:
Component A: production of seeds;
Component B: support to the economic activities of women and awareness raising on HIV/AIDS;
Component C: rural and community infrastructures;
Component D: coordination and management of the programme.
