| Mineral Resource Estimation for Yaou & Dorlin / Scoping Study (2018) |
The objectives of phase 1 were to collect the data/documents in Auplata’s possession that were relevant to carry out the geological and mining studies, and more generally, the studies needed to develop the deposits of Yaou, Dorlin, Dieu Merci, Couriège, Bon Espoir and Iracoubo Sud, and to create a documentary database integrating these data/ documents.
The objective of the second phase was to define the optimal methodology to obtain the resources indicated for Auplata’s deposits (Yaou, Dorlin, Dieu Merci, Couriège, Bon Espoir and Iracoubo Sud). Here ‘optimal methodology’ means a methodology maximising the chances of achieving the objective, i.e. obtaining the resources indicated, in a cost-effective manner. |

The objective of the assignment is to provide a resource estimation in compliance with the JORC Code (2012) for:
- Area A (Jalamid) comprising 11 blocks (A1 – A11)
- Area B (Umm Wu’al) comprising 20 blocks (B1 – B20)
- Jalamid mine area and easement
- Al Khabra mine area and B6. |
| Study for the Institutional Reform of the Oil & Gas Sector (2012) |
Oil & gas exploration works in Mali have reached an advanced stage. Further to the first encouraging results, the Mali government decided to look into the setting-up of a national oil & gas company as well as one or several entities that would be in charge of the definition and implementation of a national strategy for the petroleum and hydrocarbons sector.
SOFRECO assisted the government in achieving this goal; our team developed an appropriate institutional framework for the management of the different aspects of the oil & gas sector. |
